Our Weight Reduction Programme

Step 01 - First doctor consultation on prior appointment

Focused history taking, examination, checking of height, weight, BMI and ideal weight as well as giving an over view of overweight related problems.

  • Planning of investigations for the programme.

Step 02 - Second doctor consultation on prior appointment

Fat percentage/ other indices needed for the programme are measured

  • Reviewing the investigations.
  • Detailed discussion on concepts of weight reduction and basics on exercise with visual presentations
  • Introducing Recall Sheet to be filled by the client prior to the meeting with the Dietitian to understand the meal patterns.

Step 03 - First dietitian consultation on prior appointment

Meeting with dietitian with Recall sheet after discussion between doctor and dietitian about the client

  • Collecting information from the client to prepare a Healthy meal plan considering the cultural, socio-economic background and the meal patterns of the client.
  • Collecting information to prepare Customized menus to suit the client (breakfast, lunch, mid moming and afternoon snack, dinner and supper) to choose from, ensuring variety and avoid boredom.

Step 04 - Second diet consultation on prior appointment

  • Handing over the programme file and Nutrikit and explaining in detail as to how to use it

Step 05 - First doctor consultation on prior appointment Weekly reviews on prior appointments

  • Weekly follow up reviews with Doctor and Dietitian to discuss progress and the client’s problems faced during the journey of weight reduction.

Step 06

  • Fat monitor and other indices to assess improvement. Once in 2 months after the first review.

Step 07 - The programme will continue until the client reaches the ideal weight/feels the weight loss attained is adequate

At this point, a maintenance diet will be given to maintain the weight achieved.

  • The menu for maintenance diet will be prepared depending on the client’s life style and will be handed over to the client after explaining how to use it.
